Earlier today the Elysian Brewing company held the grand opening of its new production facility in Georgetown.

The new facility will mean 35 new jobs and the goal is to begin brewing the first batch of beer in early August.

Sen. Maria Cantwell was on hand for the first toast. 

The Elysian says it was able to finance this expansion by using a Small Business Administration loan made possible by the 2010 Small Business Jobs Act.  Sen. Cantwell was one of the leaders in the passage of that act.

The new facility is located at 5510 Airport Way South.
