Cantwell Calls for Acting Homeland Security Secretary to Testify Before Congress on Detainee Abuse

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) issued the following statement on the Trump administration’s ongoing mistreatment of detainees at the U.S.-Mexico border: 

“I support bringing Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan before Congress to demand answers about the appalling treatment of detainees. It must end, and there has to be accountability.”
