Cantwell Hires Central Washington Director and Announces Plans for New Senate Office in Tri-Cities

SEATTLE - U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) today announced that she has hired Clark Brunkow-Mather as her Central Washington Director. Brunkow-Mather will begin his official duties on September 4, and soon after will open a Senate office at 825 Jadwin Avenue in Richland to serve Senator Cantwell’s constituents in the nine Central Washington counties: Franklin, Benton, Klickitat, Yakima, Grant, Kittitas, Douglas, Chelan and Okanogan.

Brunkow-Mather, who graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University, grew up in Spokane where he and his family have long been active in state and local politics. Most recently, he worked for State Representative Jeff Gombosky, 3rd District, Spokane, and he also served in student government throughout his years at WSU.

"Having Clark based in the Tri-Cities will help me and my staff provide even better service to people from Klickitat to Okanogan County," Cantwell said. "Clark is committed to high-quality constituent service, and I’m confident our new Senate office will quickly become an invaluable resource to people throughout Central Washington."

Cantwell said she chose to locate her new office in Richland for several reasons, including the opportunity to save money by using excess space in the federal courthouse, an abundance of public parking, and easy access for constituents.
