Cantwell Joins Colleagues in Reaffirming Support for Two-State Solution to Israel-Palestine Conflict

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) joined 48 of her Democratic colleagues in the Senate to reiterate support of a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

“I support Senator Schatz’s legislative language that reaffirms that the policy of the United States, going back to the time of President Truman three quarters of a century ago, is to support a two-state solution. Despite the horrors of the ongoing war, I believe that Israelis and Palestinians must continue to strive to reach an enduring peace that recognizes and respects the rights and dignity of both peoples,” said Sen. Cantwell.

The legislation was led by U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) and is available HERE.
