Cantwell Praises NMFS Decision and Plan to Save Baby Orca
WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) today called the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) decision and action plan for orphaned baby orca A-73 "great news."
"NMFS decision to intervene and develop a plan for A-73 now, ultimately increases its chances for long term survival," Cantwell said. "I hope everyone will work together to give this orca the opportunity to thrive."
