Cantwell Statement On Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement after a congressional briefing on Afghanistan and U.S. evacuations:

“My heart goes out to the families of the heroic service members who were killed, as well as the hundreds of Afghans who lost their lives.

“I remain committed to the continued evacuations of Americans and our Afghan partners, and to providing humanitarian support to the Afghan people.”
