Cantwell Statement on House Impeachment Inquiry

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement today on the U.S. House of Representatives opening a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump: 

“I support Speaker Pelosi’s decision to initiate a formal impeachment inquiry. No one is above the law. We must safeguard our democracy and stop foreign interference in our elections.”
