Cantwell Statement on Lunar New Year

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement to mark the Lunar New Year, which begins on January 31.

“Today, I extend my warmest wishes to those in Washington state and around the world who are celebrating the Lunar New Year,” Cantwell said. “As a gateway to the Asia Pacific region, Washington state has been shaped and strengthened by the long history of our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Our state’s rich diversity is central to our dynamism and innovation. I wish all who are celebrating a new year full of hope, prosperity and good health.”
