Cantwell Statement on the Passing of Former Senator Max Cleland

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) released the following statement on the passing of former Senator Max Cleland.

“I am sad to hear of Senator Cleland’s passing. The sacrifices he made serving our country will not be forgotten. A true environmentalist, Cleland and I worked on legislation to protect our national forests during my first term in the Senate. My sympathies are with his family and friends.”
