Senator Maria Cantwell Elected "Woman of the Year"
in KING-TV Evening Magazine's 9th Annual "Best of Western Washington" Viewers' Poll. The viewers of KING-TV’s Evening Magazine have voted Senator Maria Cantwell "Woman of the Year" in the annual "Best of Western Washington" viewers’ poll.
Evening Magazine made the surprise presentation to Cantwell at her mother’s home last week. In the interview, Cantwell’s mother shares childhood photos and stories about her daughter.
The results of Evening Magazine’s annual "Best of Western Washington" viewers’ poll will be presented Monday, April 23, 2001 at 8:00 PM, on KING-TV.
Five hundred thousand "Best of Western Washington" ballots were distributed to residents throughout Western Washington who voted for their local favorites. An additional 10 thousand viewers voted on-line by logging onto KING-TV’s web site.
