For Fiscal Year 2023, the Senate Appropriations Committee is accepting Congressionally Directed Spending requests. The Senate Appropriations Committee will consider senators’ requests while writing the annual spending bill.  Projects listed here represent those that have been submitted as of May 20, 2022 and are not guaranteed to be funded. All projects are listed in alphabetical order by subcommittee. Between now and June 11, 2022 this page will be updated as additional subcommittee submissions are made.

Duwamish and Green River Basin

  • Project Purpose: To restore the entire Green and Duwamish River ecosystem spanning the tidal estuaries to the spawning and wildlife habitat areas in the upper basin

John Day Lock and Dam

Kennewick Irrigation District Drought Resiliency Project

Mount Saint Helens Sediment Control

North Horn Rapids Industrial Park: Transmission Connection

Puget Sound Nearshore Marine Habitat Restoration (Duckabush)

By centering operations in Washington’s agricultural heartland, the center will quadruple the amount of fresh produce reaching families statewide. The NWH-DC will offer affordable, badly needed harvest-season cold storage to the Valley’s diverse small/midlevel farmers.
