Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), ranking member of the Senate energy and natural resources committee, and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) have launched a 100-day campaign to #SaveLWCF.
Senators Cantwell and Burr along with fellow members of the House and Senate will highlight the looming expiration of LWCF on September 30th, unless Congress acts to #SaveLWCF. The Senators will call for the permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, one of the Nation’s oldest and most successful conservation programs, which operates with no taxpayer money.
In March 2017, Senator Cantwell introduced bipartisan legislation to permanently authorize and fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
