Cantwell, Dicks at radar dedication

Big gathering high above Copalis Beach this morning, for the dedication of the Langley Hill Doppler Radar Station. Senator Maria Cantwell and Congressman Norm Dicks worked together to secure $9 million in federal funding. Cantwell said the station’s dual polarization (Daily World story on this) is "the first in the nation to have this kind of technology . . . America wants more information so they can prepare, and today we’re ushering that in, in Grays Harbor County." Dicks: "This will protect people, and save lives."
