YOU COULD CALL IT “RADAR LOVE”…

If you were on Langley Hill yesterday around 11am you might say there was a case of radar love as dignitaries, first responders and even fishermen were on hand for the ribbon cutting of the country’s newest Doppler Radar station.

Congressman Norm Dicks, Senator Maria Cantwell (who along with Dicks worked to get the funding for the new Doppler Radar),  County Commissioner Mike Wilson, UW Professor Dr. Cliff Mass and Thunder River Crabbers President Dale Beasley spoke at yesterday’s ribbon cutting.

And after all the speeches were done, Grays Harbor PUD President Rick Lovely addressed the dignitaries about how this new system could have helped PUD workers dealing with the December 2007 storms.
